About the Lodge
Red Stag Hunts
Estancia Arroyo Verde, certainly one of the most storied ranches in Argentina, is a family owned property and lodge located along 10 miles of the world renowned Traful River. Arroyo Verde was one of the first private estancias (ranch) in Argentina to open its doors to anglers from around the world nearly 30 years ago.
Now, through our close relationship with Arroyo Verde, we have gained exclusive rights to operate free range Red Stag hunts on this beautiful ranch The landscape is the perfect combination of the riparian environment found along the Traful River, open country, forested areas and mountains that offer a magnificent setting on a ranch that consistently produces some of the largest, wild free range Red Stag in the world.
The hunt is all spot and stalk style hunting for 100% free range wild Red Stag. Hunting consists of traveling to strategic lookout points, selecting an animal to pursue. Then hunters will begin a stalk attempting to within 80-90 yards range of the animal for a shot.
Shots can often be closer as the animals can be very vocal and active in their movement therefore allowing the hunter to move closer. This is a truly unique animal and hunting experience that you will never forget.
The Lodge
Arroyo Verde offers one of the finest lodges in Patagonia. Overlooking the valley, the traditional wood and stone built houses are set in beautifully landscaped gardens with mature trees, shrubs and colourful borders. There are several outside seating areas to enjoy a drink before lunch or to watch the sunset.
In the main house, the sun-lounge, bar, living-room and dining-room with their fireplaces were designed to create a relaxed yet refined atmosphere for guests. Each of the four individually decorated twin/double bedrooms has en-suite facilities and heating. In an adjacent house, two other bedrooms are available with en-suite bathrooms.
